Nancy O'Dell started her career in broadcasting as an anchor at WPDE-TV, Myrtle Beach South Carolina. She then worked as an anchor in the morning and a reporter at WCBD TV. Her reporting of the ineffective response of the police towards DUI cases in Charleston caused an investigation conducted by the State Law Enforcement Division, which led to a change in direction from the state authorities on DUI cases. Ms. O'Dell was awarded an award for the Best Report of the Award from the Associated Press for South Carolina's media. In the years following her stay living in Charleston, O'Dell worked as an anchor co-host for the NBC's Miami Station WTVJ-TV as well as an investigative journalist. After that, she became a part of Access Hollywood to work as a weekday and weekend correspondent. In addition, she serves as a co-anchor on Dateline NBC and NBC News Today. She was a reporter for events like The Oscars, The Emmys, The Grammys, and The Golden Globe Awards. As well as co-hosting the Pre Show Arrivals to The Emmys & The Golden Globes. She has also hosted The Miss America Pageant as well as the Miss USA Pageant and Miss Universe.
